^{Annual Technical Conference 2011of Petroleum Industry held on November 22-23, 2011}

^{Oil industry professionals of Pakistan regularly conduct and annual technical conference. This year this 2 days conference was conducted in Hotel Serena. The theme of the conference was "ENERGY SECURITY THROUGH INDIGENOUS RESOURCES." The conference was attended by over 1000 delegates from Oil and Gas Industry and Academia. Obiz Pakistan also actively participated in the conference.}

^{In April 2011, Mr. Asif Akber CEO and Mr. Hasan A. Jeelani, Program Manager of Obiz Pakistan held separate meetings with the COO of Ocean Petroleum Ltd. and COO of Saif Energy Ltd. In these meetings Mr. Asif Akber described the achievements of Obiz Pakistan and the newly acquired service capabilities, especially the capability of conducting geological reservoir studies, involving the expertise of top level international professionals from USA, UK and Canada.} 

^{CEO of Obiz Pakistan meets Secretary Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources}

^{Mr. Asif Akber CEO and Mr. Hasan A. Jeelani, Program Manager of Obiz Pakistan held a meeting with the secretary on Oct 22, 2010 to discuss the training needs of energy sector, especially with respect to occupational safety. Dr. Shahab Alam Director DGPC was also present in the meeting.}

^{Mr. Asif Akber CEO along with Mr. Tahir Chaudhry CEO Falcon Engineering (IT) held a meeting with SAP Pakistan Office Chief  Mr. Waqas Siddiqui in his office in Lahore. Agenda of the meeting was to discuss the feasibility of starting SAP trainings in Islamabad for young individuals. Obiz Pakistan is planning to offer online SAP trainings in near future.} 

^{OSHA 10 Hours General Safety Course}

^{was conducted in Islamabad, Pakistan on Sep 28-29, 2010. It was the first time that this course was offered for general public in Pakistan. It was attended by six participants. All successfully qualified for the certification.}  

Upcoming Programs

^{NEBOSH International General Certification}

^{Obiz Pakistan is offering  Nebosh, International General Occupational Safety & Health Certification in cooperation with TWI from January 23,  2012 in Islamabad. The program will be conducted at Best Western Hotel. Duration  of the program  is 10 days training (8 hours daily) (January 23 -27 and  January 30 - February 03) followed by one day of examination on February 06 2012. Course fee is PKR 1,30,000+ tax (where applicable) inclusive of training material, lunches/ refreshments, examination fee and certificate.}

^{Obiz Pakistan has planned to offer its next Nebosh, International General Occupational Safety & Health Certification in cooperation with TWI in April 2012 in Islamabad / Karachi.}

^{Equipment Failure Training conducted in October 2011}

^{Obiz Pakistan has arranged a high level training program on Equipment Failure Analysis and Prevention for OMV at their Kadanwari Gas |Field by Engr. Fred Geitner from October 4-6, 2011. Fred Geitner of Canada is one of the top ranking professionals in the world, who is an author and co-author of many best seller books on machinery and equipment failure. This program will be held at a production facility of one of the clients.}

^{Hydrocarbon Prospects Evaluation Study}

^{Obiz Pakistan conducted a study in April 2011, for prospects evaluation of Yasin Block of American Hycarbex and recommendations for Seismic Data Acqusition and further drilling.}

^{Companymen and Wellsite Geologists}

^{Obiz Pakistan is currently providing Companymen and wellsite geologists to Polish Oil & Gas Company for their well Hallel-x-1, which is being drilled in Kirthar Block, Sindh, in August.}

^{Advanced Structural Geology Training}

^{Obiz Pakistan to conducted a 5 days in-house training program for PPL on Advanced Structure Geology from Feb 28, 2011 to March 04, 2011, in Hotel Ramada Plaza, Karachi. Professor Dr. John Cosgrove of  Imperial College London conducted this training. A large number of participants including senior manager attended the course.}
